More skills.
More ways to build your business.

Expand your training across nails, lashes, waxing and tinting to offer clients more of the services they love—all in one place.

A broader range of skills gives you flexibility to shape your days: a nail appointment in the morning, lashes in the afternoon, or shorter waxing and tinting services between longer appointments. You can create more opportunities for repeat visits, fill openings in your schedule, and grow your earning potential as your client base develops.

How this example is calculated

Illustration only—not a promise of income. Assumes 10 new sets and 15 fills each week, Monday to Friday. Full-set blocks allow 120 minutes for service plus 15 minutes turnover; fill blocks allow 45 minutes for service plus 15 minutes turnover. This mix totals 7.5 scheduled hours daily; a 30-minute lunch fills an eight-hour day, with extra opening, closing and administration separate. Clients commonly return for maintenance fills after 2–3 weeks; timing and fill suitability depend on retention. Extended or overdue fills, removals and specialty designs need separate pricing and time. This is a practiced technician's planning example. Owner-approved planning allowances: $10 per full set and $5 per fill; not a measured product-yield calculation.

How this example is calculated

Illustration only—not a promise of income. Assumes 30 completed package appointments each week, Monday to Friday. Each 75-minute block allows 60 minutes for service and 15 minutes for turnover. Six blocks plus a 30-minute lunch fill eight hours; additional opening, closing and administration need separate time. Every appointment in this example includes lower legs, underarms and brows. It does not price all waxing areas equally. Full legs, intimate waxing, larger areas and other combinations need their own pricing, time and supply allowance. Estimated supplies use Nove selling prices and assumed quantities, not measured service usage. Supplies are budgeted at $13 per appointment.

About these career examples

Prepared by Nove Academy, the education division of Nove Salon & Esthetics Wholesale Ltd in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Published .

These examples help prospective students understand service-based business planning. Service prices and appointment times are selected planning assumptions for practiced technicians, not a survey of graduate earnings. Supply figures are budgeting allowances informed by Nove Wholesale selling prices and assumed product use, not measured service yields.

All figures are in Canadian dollars. Weekly totals use five working days; four-week totals use 20 working days, not an average calendar month. Each service's calculation dropdown explains its schedule and assumptions.
